As Eloise would say, we've been so awwwwfully busy. But it's been mostly homebound busy, which is kind of nice.
Christina finished a wedding quilt (I won't say whose) this afternoon, except for the tying. Then she went off to Target for the required pieces of a home-made lava lamp and a care package for her cousin Ryan, a Marine who is currently somewhere in Iraq. She does love a good project, so we did some research on the web to find out what Marines like in their care packages. (According to the
Wall Street Journal, baby wipes are big with the troops this year.)
Meanwhile, I listened to some Internet radio. Apparently I've got the keys to the kingdom - the Kingdom of Swing. It makes good background music for overly dramatic visuals of explosions in the Middle East. Mostly I tried to ignore it, but occasionally something would catch my eye and I'd switch over to the TV audio and listen to something interesting.
Mostly I did a lot of web site work.
Giant Monster Movies is starting to come together (dig that snappy new logo!).
Now I've got a pork roast coming out of the oven and some BBCAmerica on the telly. A riveting evening, I know. Don't you have a destitute Iraqi war orphan's blog to read?
