Auspicious beginnings
Our new landlady, Maureen, has been putting off the signing of our lease because of her computer problems. (Windows, natch.) I finally had to offer to go over to her office and get things working so she could print the darn thing out and take our money. But now it's official – we've signed a year's lease on the house and we should have the keys in a couple of days. Christina starts packing up some things while I'm away at B-Fest, and we move the furniture over in about two weeks.
I should have asked for a discount on the first month's rent for services rendered.
