If you have spent more than a couple of days in Christina's presence, you have probably seen her wear one of two t-shirts: her Krakow "Coca-Cola" Dragon t-shirt (on which they have humorously spelled Krakow with the letter C), or her Hard Rock St. Petersburg (Russia) shirt in Cyrillic. Both shirts came back with her from her trips to Poland and the USSR, respectively. Both shirts have been worn down to their component threads. Almost.
Not wanting to see these souvenirs disintegrate while she was wearing them, I convinced Christina to turn them into a pillow, a logo to each side. I think we'll be able to hang on to these pieces of personal history for a bit longer now, and it gave my wife an easy sewing project for an evening.

Yes, she's still as much a camera hound as ever.
It's still in the shop
The Sentra is spending the night at Crown Nissan. It took them a bit longer to get that steering thing done than they thought, so we're going to go pick it up tomorrow at lunch. Fortunately we have good friends who are willing to cover the transportation front.
Suzie is sitting next to me in bed, staring into the closet. She sees something that she considers huntable. Cats can be nutty. Especially tabby cats.
This weekend I think we're going to try to make soup buns again. Once you know how the secret to getting the soup in there (gelatinized as aspic, which then melts when you steam them), they're fairly simple to make, but our last attempt at making the buns themselves was kind of a disaster (we used the wrong kind of flour and they just soaked up the soup - d'oh!). I think we'll get it right this time. At least I hope so.
