Thanksgiving
Christina leaves for San Jose tomorrow (yes, she knows the way), where she'll spend the holiday with her Dad's family before another week spent in California for the AGU conference. That leaves me here in St. Pete to hold down the fort at the USGS. I'll be the only tech on site for a few days, which would be a pain except for the fact that the only person I'm likely to have to support is myself. So hopefully it will be a couple of quiet days, with Thanksgiving spent at Tim and Teresa's. They're gonna brine a turkey. I'm providing the mashies.
We've got Scott crashing at our place tonight while they tent his apartment building to fumigate for pests. What kind of timing is that – flushing the residents out of their homes two days before Thanksgiving? Fortunately it's not as if Scott has loads of holiday preparations to make. I can sense your smirk from here.
