No caller ID? It's been nice not talking to you.
Someone has been calling my cell phone pretty regularly (once a day or so) without a Caller ID. Imagine their surprise when I never answer. I'm always amused by the thought that anyone who turns off their outgoing Caller ID would expect anyone else to answer. The ability to see who initiated a phone call is the single most useful addition to telephony since the cordless phone, and I simply do not pick up the phone anymore unless I know who is on the other end.
Of course, there is the chance that someone I want to talk to is stranded somewhere without outgoing Caller ID. All I can say is: leave some voice mail. That's why it exists. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
