It's in the shop
Took the Sentra in for repairs today – the air conditioning fan quit (resistor and motor, both shot), and we were putting power steering fluid in the thing every other day, so it was finally time to suck it up and pay to replace the whole thing. The good news? Because we waited six months to do get it fixed, it's now $300 cheaper than it would have been when they first suggested the repair. The bad news: we have to wait a week for the a/c parts to come in.
Reading: How to Get Publicity by William Parkhurst - I first read an article from Mr. Parkhurst in My First Year in Book Publishing, which was hilarious, so I decided that anything he had to say on publicity would probably be entertaining, at any rate. There have been a lot of authors unhappy with the fact that Amazon promotes used books from the same page as the new book, but the truth is that I never would have been able to afford the publishing library I have now without the used book market on the Internet. As an author, I figure that any circulation of my book is a good thing. Remind me of this when I start bitching about used book sales in the future.
Watching: Scott and I got a screener copy of Audition, which we watched last night. Watch for our review in a few days. It was a doozy. And hey, Spider-Man opens tomorrow!
