Still no time for blog. Or rather, I'm so sick of sitting in front of a computer that I would rather just go read. The book is so very close to finished. The appendices are done ('cept for last-minute edits). The chapter layouts and edits are done. Lisa is working on the index, bless her. Just the front matter to finish: copyright page, table o' contents, etc. And the cover. Lordy, the cover.
I did get some terrific new bowling shoes as a belated Xmas gift. My parents rule. A pair of bowling shoes was the one thing I wanted that wouldn't fit on an Amazon wish list, and they even got the right brand (Lind's, naturally). Plus, they fit perfectly. I'm still puzzling out exactly what the differences in the two soles mean (one's yer stopping foot, one's yer sliding foot?), but all in all I'm in awe.
So watch for the entry in which I actually go bowling with the new shoes.
