Bill Cosby Must Need the Money

Jennifer called me from the local Publix today, almost in hysterics.

Why, do you ask?

Jell-O Pudding Pops are back on the market. May God have mercy on Jell-O's soul...we'll all be obese in no time.

(I promise to blog about our SF trip soon.)

First post in a while, but since the theft of my digital camera, I have no cool pictures to post. But I have been doing a few things. Mardi Gras break I stayed in town for a little while, then headed to Denver. I got to go iceskating, which I suck at it but wiping out is half the fun. Mostly we just ate, which caught up with me when I got a bacterial stomahc infection on the last day and which has lasted for over a week--yuck. Since I have been back, we have had sorority lil sis week where I got to shower Nicole Marie Hebert (yeah, that's right she lives in Acadiana) with hundreds of dollars worth of gifts. Today they were initiated and she took me out to dinner at Dante's, where I had shrimp and grits and talked to Kirk Cameron (show me that smile again). New Orleans is a weird place, to say the least.
Last Friday, I woke up at 6 and went down the the quarter to help set up and promote John Kerry's visit to New Orleans at 1 that afternoon. It was a lot of fun, but discouraging in that I got a lot of "Who is that?" and "I'm a pure Republican" comments. But, I got a bunch of Kerry stuff and volunteer credentials that allowed me to skip ahead of the ridiculous security, got to meet the man himself and talk with him for a tiny bit. I also talked to a couple Secret Service guys--and who doesn't want to do that?
Anyway, just a few random notes from the swamp. Thanks for all my birthday calls!
