The Weekend

The main event of the weekend just past was the family garage sale, orchestrated for the benefit of the Holland children, friends, and spouses. Aside from contributing some items for sale, Mommy and I stayed pretty much out of it, except to try to protect the fledgling (and struggling in the summer heat) lawn. If you see anything in this picture that used to belong to you, it's gone now!

I think everybody made at least a little money, and we got rid of a bunch of stuff from the basement.

Benjamin is headed today up to Fayetteville, NC to Ft. Bragg to visit with Josh before he musters out to Iraq in the near future. He'll be meeting Richard and Rhonda there. Benjamin will also be moving into his new apartment in Rock Hill next weekend.

Aunt Pam and Uncle Bob are investigating a medical supply company in Augusta that is for sale and will be here next weekend after they have done their thing in Augusta. They're taking us out to dinner for Mommy's birthday and spending Saturday night. If you want to visit Boston and have a free place to stay, you probably ought to do it soon!

The following weekend we are taking Pamela back to school at Tulane. Geoffrey and Jennifer are joining us for their first visit to New Orleans. As you can imagine, they have a restaurant agenda!
