Anyone who applies for a 2004 Emory Prestige tag between now and July 31, 2003, will receive FREE a copy of Emory University, the handsome coffee table book featuring brilliant images of the campus by renowned photographer William Mercer.
This $39.95 value will be yours simply for showing your pride in Emory by applying for the redesigned commemorative license plate, new for 2004. Under Georgia law, the State Department of Motor Vehicle Safety must receive 500 applications for 2004 Emory plates by July 31 of THIS YEAR-- or the plates will not be manufactured! As of July 14, 423 applications had been submitted, so every application is critical to ensuring Emory is represented on Georgia roads alongside Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia and may other colleges and universities.
The is a one-time $25 manufacturing fee (payable upon application) for the plates, plus an annual $25 special tag fee, in addition to normal tag renewal fees and advalorem taxes. (If the Emory plate is not manufactured, the state DMV will refund the manufacturing fees of all who applied.)
To apply for a tag, simply visit www.dmvs.ga.gov , click on "Vehicle Registration," then on "What types of special tags are available?" an finally on "Emory University." The resulting page will include a downloadable MV-9C form (Adobe Acrobat format) that must be filled out and mailed along with the manufacturing fee to your local county tag office. You will receive your license plate upon renewing your vehicle's tag on your birthday in 2004. To receive your free copy of Emory University, just mail a photocopy of your MV-9C form to Special Tag Offer, University Communications, 1627 N. Decatur Rd., Atlanta, GA , 30322. Once your application is confirmed with the DMV, a copy of the book will be mailed to your home.
