Wedding Accommodations in Paducah

This seems as good a place as any to raise this issue. We've been checking into places in Paducah where the whole family could stay together, or semi-together, at a rate that wouldn't bust everyone's budget. Unfortunately there is no short-term house rental market in Paducah. The Drury Inn and Suites has offered a rate of $84.99 a night (to me) and had apparently offered $80.99 to Sarah, but they seem to have forgotten that. In either case, that rate is for suites that will sleep up to 6 people. Probably four comfortably, but they'll tolerate six for the same rate. If you all are in favor of this approach, we need to get some sort of feel for when people are arriving and how many rooms are needed for how many nights. Friends of the family who plan to come to the wedding can also participate if they wish. Some may be more willing than others to buddy up. Aunt Pam and Bob say they want their own room, and a separate one for Josh, Kristi, and Cade, as grandma can't sleep with a snuffleupagus baby. How about some feedback so we can begin to sort this out?

Sewer Cover Art

I finally took a picture, at Pamela's suggestion, of the original New Orleans sewer cover that so many local artists reproduce. Figured we might be able to do some art of our own with a decent photo. Pull it up in Photoshop and special-effect it to death.

We also purchased a reproduction (in foam board) of the street tiles that spell out "Decatur St."
