Texas Wildflower Quilt

One of the nicest things about visiting Texas in the springtime is that the place is covered with colorful wildflowers. The bluebonnets are the best-known, but there are thousands of them in all colors.

One of the San Antonio quilt shops, Las Colchas, has a Texas wildflower block-of-the-month series that results in the quilt shown below. It was quite breathtaking.

On behalf of Geoffrey

Geoffrey called me on his cell phone at lunchtime, from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to say that he and Jennifer are not coming back, would we please send the cats over?

Despite 30 mph winds, he claims there has been no seasickness, and they're having a good time.

We'll put the cats in #7 priority mail boxes and send them over right away.

Back from Texas

We got back last evening from San Antonio after several fun days with Granny and Granddaddy. They are in good spirits and amazing health and we had a good time. We went to Wimberly to the monthly fair and market, and another day to Kerrville, about an hour up the road in the hills, where there is quite a remarkable quilt shop. Now it's time to get back on the yogurt regimen and get up and go to work in the morning. Yecch.
