While I don't have any cool pictures of exploded kitchens to share, I thought I'd offer up the report from the Holland Annex.
As many of you have probably already heard, I will soon be starting a new job. I'll be working at the office of the Chapter 13 Trustee starting in early December. This new job is a pretty dramatic improvement in just about every way, so I'm pretty excited about. I'll still be in the same field, but on a much cleaner side of the bankruptcy process.
To celebrate, Jennifer and I went and got a TiVo. While I had heard many stories of the mythical powers of this machine, I must say they are most impressive when exercised in my own living room. I can now hold 87 hours worth of "Martha Stewart's Prison Luxury on a Budget" in a little box under my TV. God bless America.
Jennifer has passed all three sections of the Praxis, so all she has to do now is apply to a school system for a job. Looks like that will wait until after the holidays, but it's definitely on the horizon.
Thanksgiving dinner should provide us with excellent practice for hosting the "Crowded Christmas," as it has become known around our house. It should be a blast. Those of us here in town will think of all you out-of-towners as we brine and roast our bird. It's no chili cookoff, but it's close.
